We are extremely proud to announce that local elected officials took part in a ceremonial groundbreaking for our senior living community on Tuesday.

The $32 million development will be built on 13 acres southeast of U.S. 30 and Ridgeland Avenue, with plans to open to residents in October 2020.

Matteson Mayor Sheila Chalmers-Currin said village officials are “excited” about the project, and that the development is “greatly needed.”

Housing options for seniors is “definitely an issue that has to be addressed” and “will be a challenge going forward in the 21st century,” state Rep. Debbie Meyers-Martin, D-Olympia Fields, said at the ceremony.
